Well we our continuing on our journey of LOVING ON OUR MEN WEEK and today we will teaching you the essence of the proper skin care... I know we sometimes don’t like to read lol, but here are some quick tips on how to eliminate nasty INGROWN hairs and some helpful shaving tips and products to use to clean, exfoliate and moisturize your skin!!!
YUCK INGROWN HAIRS!!
INGROWN HAIRS ARE HAIRS THAT GET TRAPPED INSIDE THE FOLLICLE OR GROWS BACK INTO THE SKIN... IT CAUSES YOUR SKING TO BECOME BUMPY, NASTY, RED, PHYSICAL SCARRING AND SOMETIMES SWELLING WILL OCCUR.
TIPS TO PREVENT INGROWN HAIRS:
1. Use products that have the active ingredient SALICYLIC ACID, this will eliminated the visual appearance of razor bumps. It is dermatological said to “exfoliate, moisturize, clear pores and help prevent infections.
STAY AWAY FROM: PRODUCTS THAT HAVE ALCHOL AND FOAM-BASED SHAVING CREAMS. Causes dryness, skin irritation and cause the skin pores to close keeping ingrown hairs trapped in skin... Try Gel and or Oil based Shaving Creams
2. Daily you should gently exfoliate using products with glycolic and salicylic acid wash your face and beard daily using a SOFT BRISTLE BRUSH and LIQUID CLEANSER in a circular motion.
3. AVOID SHAVING TOO CLOSELY. This will only triggers for razor bumps. Hairs cut too closely will get trapped inside the hair follicle and dig inward or sideways. Don’t pull skin when shaving and don’t put too much pressure on the blades. SHAVE WITH THE GRAIN AND USE A SINGLE-BLADE RAZOR.
4. TREATING INGROWN HAIRS... Carefully lift the ingrown end out with tweezers, BUT DON’T PLUCK!! To reduce redness and swelling use azulene, allantoin and WHITCH HAZEL!!
